Dalmatia, Croatia

There's no need to introduce the Dalmatian coast, it's simply a superb cruising ground, where the wind is generally mild and steady during the summer season. We could spend weeks there, wandering in between the numerous islands. In addition, the sailboat is the best way to discover the very indented coast of Croatia, since it makes it possible to follow the shoreline, whereas public transportation would only enable access to a few places at best. Navigating from anchorage to anchorage also has the advantage of avoiding too much contact with the locals, whose friendliness, it must regretfully be acknowledged, is not the best of qualities. Do go there, but for the scenery more than for the people!
